Sore Throat Tonic
one 16-ounce serving
- One, one-inch piece of fresh, raw ginger, peeled and smashed with a fork (put it on the cutting board and smash it with the fork tines once or twice to release the flavor)
- 1/4 wedge of fresh lemon
- 1-2 teaspoons of Manuka honey
- 16 ounces of boiling hot water
Place the smashed ginger and the juice from the fresh lemon into your giant mug. Add the boiling water and swirl the honey into it. Let it steep as it cools enough to drink it. When I got to the bottom, I chewed on the ginger.
